DescriptionCAVE CREEK--1995.
Fourteen people died when a scenic viewing platform collapsed at Cave Creek in the Paparoa National Park on 28 April 1995. Students from the Greymouth Tai Poutini Polytechnic were visiting the park. some time after this i had the opportunity to speak to the Iroqoiucrew who flew trhat day .they to a man could not believe the bravery and skills of chris cowan in flying right in and his piloting skills .its worth a honour even a vc said one high praise indeed from them .DOC were gutless ,not untypical should have been done for corporate manslaughter
