Rather sad to see this. I stayed in there about 1971 or 1972. Was pouring with rain, and i could hear the river rushing past. I had the corner room on the second floor. Had some nice drinks before bed, and met a few nice locals.

Enjoyed several nights in here in the 1970s and on my days off from work at Fox Glacier. Ron Baxendale was the manager then.

Yep I worked there as a 17 yr old housemaid and kitchen hand at night over 50 yrs ago now
