It was a really good setup Vern we were fortunate enough to be able to use it for Fire Brigade training back in the day it’s a lovely family home now and is kept in a tidy state and has beautiful grounds

I remember as kids visiting the mines resource building, where we were shown around the facilities and demonstrated how coal dust can explode in a controlled manner. I also recall the mine rescue training staff walking up the back track at Dobson. They looked like something out of outer space with all their gear on. Additionally, there were some good plum trees behind the mine rescue building.
