The original is marked Elmer Lane Cricket Team from memory. My father would have taken the pic between 1950 - 1953.
He worked for the railways on the wharf driving the hydraulic cranes
There's one that was a larger print that he coloured that I posted on this group a while back of him whitebaiting in the Grey River that you will find if you do a search

Best Guess, picture taken in a paddock at the Shelly Street Abattoir, cattle yards behind the team, right hand top could be the Greymouth High School Hostel, left hand top the Greymouth Hospital?
