The bones were uplifted and reburied by messenger park somewhere..and later taken too Arahura pa..I'm pretty sure

I always thought Tainui cave was the others side of the river near where the rail bridge joins.
That "cave" was an explosives store and is man made.
I speak often to the person who helped make it

Yes correct his name was wereta tainui he was my 6th great grandfather they exhumed his remains from the cave before it was quarried
