DescriptionIt is with utter devastation to have to write this, but on March 8 at 3.58pm Garth Morgan Maisey (age 56) passed away surrounded by all of his family and dear friends.
Garth put up the bravest and strongest fight against his disease. But sadly he left this world and flew home to his Dad, Keith in heaven.
Garth was the only son to June Maisey and the late Keith Maisey of Turanga-o-moana and his 4 sisters.
He was and always will be THE BEST DAD and best friend to our 3 amazing sons who helped nurse their father right until his passing yesterday.
I am so exceptionally proud of you all my boys,
Chad Maisey Alex Maisey Max Maisey. Garth was in full control of his death as he was in life. His terms all the way and you men (his sons) respected that even though it hurt like hell.
My life will never be the same without my big mate. You were SOOOO many things to me Garth. Im gonna miss our chats, not to mention all the amazing memories my heart is now overflowing with.

Can we respectfully ask for the next 24-48 hours if you (friends and neighbors) please give us some space so that family can just be together and slowly walk through our grief and shock.
Garth's service will be on the West Coast of South Island. March 13 are 1pm. Venue to be confirmed. Live streaming will become available in time for those who cant travel.
Thank you everyone for all your support and kind words over the last few months as this insane strain of cancer just steamrolled my strong mates body. But boy did he slam it back and give it a Splitter smashing directlyin its face; just so he could get more time with his family and boys
