History has it that there was a settlement there I can remember a couple of houses below the over bridge and have found remainents of civilisation above the railway line towards Stillwater my Mother also used to talk of houses on stilts below the road in was called Kiwitown

Rob Lunn hi Rob scrapped the wall around that bend in my 49 Ford V8 coming back from the Stillwater pub

Vern Pattinson well you would not have been the only person to ever do that Vern the Dobson lads were on the way home from the same venue one afternoon and came across a badly damaged Mk 2 Zedcar we helped the driver get it off the wall but he didn’t apply the park brake and it rolled back into the river (there was no armco railing in those days)☹️☹️☹️
