Sawmill site-1986 and 2020.
Lake Brunner Sawmilling Company. Ruru. A mill owned by the Brownlee family and managed by Mr Ross Brownlee. The twin circular sawmill cuts around twelve cubic metres of timber per day. The mill began operating at Ruru prior to 1921 and at one time had kiln-drying facilities.Map^[1]ContributorTony Kokshoorn

I worked at the Ruatapu mill many years ago, I absolutely loved my time there until the National government decided to close us down.

Annie Williams - I think you meant Helen Clark of LABOUR shutting down the Sawmill Industry on the Coast as a result of an agreement with the Green Party. It was a sad day for the West Coast.
