That truck was in a shed at McVicar's mill on Johns Rd CH CH .After the death of Neil McVicar It was sold along with a lot of other old trucks and gear. Not sure where the truck went to, it was still in fairly good condition.

Must be worth tracking. Amazing how much equipment was retired to a shed somewhere on site. Before the accountants took over!

Des Mckenzie Des there is a gmc truck in the garage at Ahaura with Tucks doors on it, against the wall there is a Browns crk door. I put the truck in a book as Tucks but was told later only the doors were.

Lyn N Moe There were a couple of doors in the same shed with Browns crk on them. Was also another GMC in another shed with McVicar name on the door. Mcvicar's owned the Browns crk mill when it closed, a lot of the gear including the big engine that drove the mill is now at Shantytown.

That load looks like peelers that each mill had to reserve and send to Fletchers for plywood in ChCh or Gladstone.

I remember a GMC in business at Hanmer Forest when I worked there in 1962. A great workhorse in its day
