Train coming off the S bend bridge into the Greymouth river siding.
The old 1886 Cobden road bridge is being dismantled and in 1989 the port railway tracks were also dismantled allowing the new 1990 floodwall to commence.
The concrete strip between the train and Grey river is the 1876 floodwall. The Limestone rock floodwall runs from the old Cobden bridge down to Tainui street and its condition is still excellent in 2026.
