DescriptionA demolition worker, Mr Rene Van Der Jagt, unearthed these old bottles in the Theatre Royal at Westport, which is being demolished to make way for a brewery. The theatre, which was built in the 1870s, was last used as a shop by Combined Rural Traders. The Western Miners Brewery, owned by a group of Westport businessmen, will produce its first brew about the middle of next year. — Photograph by JEROME MOSS

Wonder if the paper label was readable or if the bottles were embossed? This would help learn more about the bottles origins and usage?
