DescriptionHard at work in his forge is the only working blacksmith in Westport and possibly the West Coast, Mr Hughie Quartly. The 59-year-old master blacksmith, who was born at Woodend, is about to expand his business. Orders for his hand-wrought ironwork may allow him to employ two or three workers. At present he has one apprentice.
