Noel Clark — Well done Tommy, I wonder if Dad drove that. I remember him using one to break in new log skid roads, carting logs to mills around Ngahere.

Thomas Peter Mulligan — Charlie Chandler had one of GMCs at his sawmill.

Alison Armstrong — I have a bit more to add. The GMC trucks were a favourite of a wonderful gentleman named G. T. Gillies of Oamaru. He oversaw the restoration of his stock. The completed works were sent overseas and put to work, some in Papua New Guinea.

Ken Duncan — The US were still using these in Iraq whilst we were there. In fact, they court-martialled some of their soldiers for going to the dump to take steel off other trucks to give them more protection.
