Maria Hepi: Chook Egg, that is what my dad’s parents did on Hokitika Beach. All the kids’ wedding rings were made from that gold.

Doreen Thomson: I think from left to right: Bob, Lettie, Bert and Grandma Tui. The boys there have straight hair, so that is my guess.
