Arthur Bass: Imagine the noise.

Allan Archer: John Lovelock, father of Jack, NZ Olympic gold medalist, worked here, as did John Mulligan, grandfather of Thomas Peter Mulligan and Barb Kennedy, Katy Jean Elisabeth Kennedy.

Ron White: My grandfather George White worked at the Progress Mine from 1920–1940. In his retirement years, he was totally deaf. Minimal health and safety requirements in those days.
