DescriptionFound an old Grey River Argus Oct 1960 amongst my fathers stuff with a transport supplement. Will post a series of photos from it. Don't know how clear they'll be.
The scene shows two trucks transporting part of the Ngahere dredge along the Ngahere to Atarau road about 1945. The rear vehicle driven by Gordon McDonagh, present manager of Gibbs Transport, happens to have covered the whole journey in reverse. Not a very easy feat along this road!
