Mike Waghorne I remember the blue buses well. For the folk going to Taylorville it was important to wait for the special 'low roof' bus that was able to go over the Brunner bridge. Otherwise they would have to walk over the old swing bridge from Wallsend.Rob Absalom The Mini would have to be the most modern car in the picture and it has yellow number plate pre 1965.

Brian Steele They were the good days back then . Every body came to town on a Friday night. Plenty of buses running to and from all outlying areas. Us kids all used to go to the movies at the regent or St James. . Great movies to see back then . ....bridge over the river Kwai.....Kelly's Heroes ....Easy rider. Then wed all race down to the ABC have a rum n coke then onto the bus outside and go home. They were great days ....now memories !!!!! Lol

Begg's Music Shop on the corner brings back memories. At lunch times my mates and I would gather there to listen and discuss the latest record releases. I bought my first stereo record from there.
