Don Hutton I agree. IT's not Greymouth, Hokitika or Westport as the bridge is too close to the sea for that. Ngakawau on the left and Hector on the right.

John Anderson Neal Clementson ...sorry Neal don' t know when the first road bridge was built ,the current bridge is the second one built , I don't believe there was a ford further up river but I do remember driving over the rail bridge in my cousins car that would be in the 1940s ,so I think that would be a road /rail prevalent at that time .no Neal I'm not old so no offence ,quite a very functional 84 cheers Joh
