That was the snowstorm that turned the South Island white. I was in Southland at the time and remember it well, a second storm came through a week later and added to the misery, piling more snow on the previous dump that had not melted because of heavy frosts.

Johnny the late ticca Findlay late bev Lynam myself Lynne brown. Yes another car late peter Coll that was why more people. They did sort if lift the card around. Long story going back stone went through oil sump of johnnys new Vauxhall hitched ride back to old bealy owner took us through to Arthur’s and we came home on the press railcar. Was an exciting trip alright!!!!
