DescriptionNewspaper article in 'The Coaster' March 25th 1998.The name that was bestowed on the mountain that overlooks Barrytown Mt Ryall was in memory of John Ryall who was born and lived all his life in the community far below. John was born in 1879 to settler parents Denis and Jane. No family gave so much to an isolated community. They gave years of service in various roles on councils, land boards, education boards and like.
