DescriptionCarol Stewart.."This is their house at Whitecliffs which is nearer to Berlins on the Westport road. Whitecliffs was where Mrs Rona Jackson died and her mother was injured to the extent that she died shortly after.
Their farm at Inangahua was across the road from where the Inangahua Junction hotel stood and the site of that house has gone for the new corner construction."
The 1968 Inangahua earthquake struck 25 kilometres west of Murchison, New Zealand, near the small town of Inangahua Junction at 5:24 am NZDT on 24 May 1968.

It occurred at a depth of only 12 kilometres being extremely shallow for an earthquake of its size.Date of Photo24th May 1968Map^[1]
