DescriptionGlenn Johnston.."Yesterday two of us in the bush in the Upper Rewanui area come across this derailed tram trolley down a bank below the tramway. I've seen numerous old coal tubs but this is the first trolley set up like this I've seen. It has four folding metal bolsters and chains above two wheel sets and a wooden superstructure. It appears like a down sized version of some logging setups that were used on logging tramways. This one being in a coalmining area may have been used for carting sawn timber, mining pit props or the like?"Map^[1]ContributorGlenn Johnston
