DescriptionHere is a tiny boot found near one of the early Liverpool mines upstream of Rewanui, Middle Brake and the main Siberia Settlement. It would have been an extremely isolated spot for a mother and child back in the early 1900's. It was found approx 300m from the site of the mine managers house for the No 1 mine at Top Brake but on the other side of the creek close to where some singlemen's huts once were. I've wondered who the child might have been who wore this boot.Map^[1]ContributorGlenn Johnston

I dug up a tiny little boot years ago, a bit smaller than this one. Ever so cute.. still had the tiny little brass nails in tact to. I found it in Nrth Canterbury.
