Coming from a building background, I find the amount of cast in situ concrete amazing. Presumably boxing all cut and erected just by manpower, and mixing and placing concrete the same. How did they get all the materials to the site? So much to do, prior to actually mining these places.

Whereabouts on the Incline is this please? I walked up the Incline as far as Davy Creek on Saturday but couldn't (safely) cross the creek due to the heavy flow from rainfall over the previous 24 hours. Is it past there?

John Van Pomeren A fair bit further up the creek. Across the bridge over the 7 mile a bit up from Davy Creek and follow the trail. There's a blazed trail, but not a track, and you do need to go up the river bed for short bit. Tony Kokshoorn et al have been doing some work so should be easy enough to find.
